HOME BENEFITS FUNDRAISERS MEMBERS NEWSLETTERS LOCATION CONTACT  Fundraisers and Philanthropy Since its inception, WSBA has excelled in promoting business to business relationships while also “giving back to the community”. For over 40 years, WSBA has helped raise funds for donation to local non-profit groups. WSBA has a philanthropy committee that meets early in the year to decide which worthy causes WSBA will sponsor for the year. The committee also decides what fundraisers will be run to raise funds for the selected non-profit organizations. The philanthropy committee has decided on the following five organizations to assist for this year: Family Service Goodwill Industries Wisconsin Badger Camp Madison Area Literacy Council Toys for Tots Fundraiser events in 2006 for these charitees are as follows: October – Annual Silent Auction and social evening. An evening of fun and fund raising! This event includes wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, and a host of valuable items to bid on! Proceeds from this event are split evenly between four not-for-profit organizations. September - Taste of Madison Booth. The WSBA annually hosts a volunteer fundraiser booth at the Madison “food fest”. Queen Anne's and the West Side Club sell a variety of foods to hungry visitors. WSBA members volunteer at the booth. Funds that would have been paid in wages are charitably donated. All proceeds are split evenly between our four not-for-profit organizations. November - Annual Holiday Craft and Gift Fair. The Craft Fair annually welcomes artists and crafters from throughout the Midwest to sell their holiday wears and wares! The WSBA collects donations from attendees at the door. All proceeds are split evenly between four not-for-profit organizations. December – Toys for Tots Drive. WSBA annually participates in the nationwide Toys for Tots drive each December. Members and guests at our annual WSBA holiday party donate toys for children 3-13 to be distributed here in Dane County during the holiday season! The reward for helping others and the value of philanthropy is truly priceless. Please join us in helping to make this our best year ever by assisting and partaking in these worthwhile causes.
